Sunday's are my busy day, If I don't prep for the week on a Sunday it completely throws me off for the whole week. It makes me feel so unprepared and all over the place if I don't prep. My must do's on a Sunday are the following....
Put Clothes Away
I put away all the clothes so I know when I go looking for that jumper or shirt I had in mind, its were I expect it to be.
Stock the Fridge and Presses
I always try my best to get to the shop and stock my fridge and presses, because I prefer to start the week with fresh food so I can start off good and healthy. If I don't I tend to be very quick to jump on the 'let's get a takeaway' bandwagon.
Wash the Bedsheet's
All bedsheet's get washed and refreshed, there is no better feeling than jumping into fresh sheets after a bath.
Have a Family Dinner
I love sitting down together and sharing a meal we all like on a Sunday, it doesn't need to be a Sunday Roast, Sunday gone we had Chicken Korma with Naans and Poppadoms. It's a chance to eat something we love and don't eat very often. I try fit in a dessert every now and again too to make it a bit more special than the normal dinner.
Baths and Showers
Its bath day in our house on Sunday, im a bit of a control freak on this one, everyone has their bath/wash on a Sunday. It adds to the feeling fresh and relaxed side of things.
Iron Clothes
I Iron whatever clothes we need for the week, so if Glenn is in the office that week, his shirts and slacks get ironed, along with Logan's tshirts or anything creased belonging to him. Also any outfits I want to also get a quick Iron.
Planning
I tend to do this just before bed, I sit down take out my journal. See what's on the calendar for the week and what tasks need to be done. So I know what to expect.
Budget Check
Last but not least is I check our budget and update it. To make sure everything is in line as I tend to spend more and care less over the weekend. This is so I know whether we are on the right track or not for the week.
Once I get these done I feel great rolling into the new week, Monday's are my days I always say 'I'l start Monday'. Its the fresh start in my head, the week before gets wipe out and the new me starts on a Monday.
Let me know what you do to feel prepared for the week on a Sunday.
