Our Covid Halloween Experience

Well this Halloween was definitely a strange experience and this is coming from someone who's not quite a fan of Halloween however this year would have been Logan's first real experience of Halloween and Trick or Treating since last year he was too small.

All things considered we still had a fun day. Last year I made about 100 maybe 200 sweet bags because we get alot of Trick or Treater's, this year we did 11 for the kids on the road that we would know well and done reverse trick or treating and dropped them into them. I'm not going to lie I preferred reverse trick or treating because it just shows you that out of the 100's of kids that knock on our door each year we know about 11 ha.

Logan got tonnes of sweets (too much) and was very excited with the fact that people were knocking on our door to give him sweets so I suppose he still got that experience.

We did a quick end of garden visit to my mam and dad but it was unfair on all involved I feel, my mam and dad wanted us to come in, out of the cold and Logan just wanted to go play with his cousin and her toys, so there was alot of tantrums because we were stopping him and my god it was cold out. I think everyone missed out on the experiences.

We came home and walked around to a bonfire and stood far away, Logan paid no attention so came home and got him ready for bed. There were plenty of fireworks to see also.

Look its not the norm and yes we missed out on creating some wonderful memories but we must do what is needed to be done in these strange times, we still had a wonderful Halloween full of crafts, pumpkin, woody costumes, sweets and Halloween films I think it was a success!! I think we all definitely need to try look on the bright side of situation's these days!!

Now roll on Christmas......
