Why your children should wear bright swimwear

I was recently tagged in a post on Facebook by my little sister and I was amazed that I had never thought of it and she admitted it would have never crossed her mind either. Would it of crossed yours?
On the post, it advised parents to steer clear of blue, aqua or green swimsuits and to be fair I would add to that grey, black and anything that is not a bright colour and wait until you hear why you should start this....
If god forbid your child should slip in a pool or under the water in the sea they would be harder to spot, they would blend in with the water (yes I know it is a terrifying thought). This person who posted this actually experienced and went through this situation and luckily the child was rescued and revived however 8 adults couldn't see the child who took off their arm bands and was wearing a blue swimsuit, which is why they shared this tip to other parents.
Hot pink, yellow, orange, red would all have been spotted much quicker and could save a child's life.
So this summer ditch those sea colour swimsuits and invest in a brightly coloured one for each of the family members which is exactly what I will be doing.
Stay safe everyone and please remember water safety!!
