The National Botanic Garden's has always been my favourite place to visit. When I lived in Finglas we were here nearly every week for a walk and a chat!! Most of mine and Glenn's serious conversations have happened in this park, our chats about kids, where to buy a house and even when his mam passed. I think its because its just such a calming and beautiful place.

The Botanic Garden's opens Monday to Friday 10am - 5pm and weekends & bank holiday's 10am - 6pm. Entry is Free.
Parking can be a pain but you have loads of options, on most road's around the entrance its pay and display but what we do is park on the Graveyard side in Glasnevin and at the back right corner of the graveyard there is a gate into the Botanic Gardens.
They have a cafe, daily guided tours and a beautiful rose garden. They do art displays and exhibitions throughout the year and at Halloween they normally have a pumpkin display.
It is home to many beautiful squirrels and when we visited today we saw one climb up someone who was feeding her something. It really is just a magical place.
See for yourself and you will be hooked like me!!
